Satsang: The literal meaning is a 'meeting of minds for the purpose of truth'. In Art of Living, satsangs are usually associated with groups of people meeting to sing, dance, meditate and celebrate. It is a joyous and
deeply fulfilling experience. The sound vibrations from the music have a silencing effect on the multitude of thoughts in the mind leaving the participants feeling light and peaceful.
Seva: Unconditional service. Service with a smile. The entire Art of Living foundation is run by millions of volunteers around the world who believe that true celebration is unconditional service. Art of Living volunteers rank from CEOS of big companies to housewives, young children and youth who choose to spend their spare time making a difference in the world around them.
Sadhana: Is the special time of the day that one spends time in yoga, meditation, contemplation or prayer. In Art of Living, sadhana is usually associated with the time spent doing yogasanas and Sudarshankriya and as one advances into further Art of Living programmes, more practices are added to enhance the quality of this special time with oneself. The result of sadhana is greater peace, joy, energy and centeredness.
